When
you pass through the lobby into the enormous Atrium around which the Embassy
Suites Hotel is built, you may think you've stepped onto the set of a
Merchant Ivory movie.
Brick pathways meander around
boulders and through a forest of mature palms that surrounds a natural
rock waterfall, whose splashing cascades delight the ear as well as the eye.
Although the Atrium is rife with photo options, most couples factor the
picturesque bridge that arches over the indoor pool.

On one side of the Atrium, is Capistrano's Restaurant. It
provides an extraordinary indoor dining experience that makes you feel like
you're outdoors. Its most arresting feature, the Gazebo, is an open air
structure with a vine-laden canopy that's large enough to accommodate a
ceremony or a few tables and chairs. A wide corridor with more tables shaded
by green market umbrellas links the Gazebo to the restaurant.
Capistrano's is so beautifully decorated; it's hard to take in the multitude
of nicely designed details. Striped awnings over doorways, hand-sponged
peach walls an Indian jungle mural, carved black enameled chairs, gleaming
faux-marble columns, painted ironwork....the list is longer than we have
room for. As you gaze around you, the air gently stirring beneath brass
ceiling fans, it's not too hard to imagine yourself in a more exotic time
and place.
